CLEAN UP BLANDFORD CAMPAIGN

Clean Up Blandford Campaign is a voluntary organisation that aims to encourage the awareness of litter issues amongst the public. The group meets up 3 times a year (May, Sept, Dec). If you would like to join the group contact David.

GILLINGHAM LITTER PICKERS

A voluntary group in Gillingham, Dorset who meet as a group monthly and solo to litter pick around the town. All equipment is provided, and this can be kept on loan to enable you to pick whenever you want to. Please contact GLP if you would like more information.

SHERBORNE STOP THE DROP

Sherborne Stop The Drop group is coordinated by Anthony Vosper. There is a litter pick each month- dates below. All dates are Tuesdays and the group meet at 10am. High viz waistcoats, litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided.

SHAFTESBURY HILLTOP LITTER PICKERS

The Shaftesbury Hilltop Litter Pickers, coordinated by Tyrone, are currently litter picking individually as part of their daily exercise, but are hoping to be able to get out again group picking soon. Since their formation, they have collected over 4,250 black bags of rubbish alongside other items. To find out more about the group, please contact Tyrone.

An BCP Council initiative undertaking continuous improvements along BCP’s  breath-taking coastline to encourage residents, visitors and workers to be more environmentally conscious, particularly in relation to waste disposal.

HIGHCLIFFE BEACH TEAM

The Highcliffe Beach Clean Team hosts free events  open to everyone, just turn up on the day and sign in. Equipment is provided and all events are child friendly and you can bring dogs to most of them – there are times of year when dogs are not allowed on this beach so please check before attending.

FRIARS CLIFF BEACH CARE GROUP

Friars Cliff Beach Care group is a network of like-minded people who are keen to make a difference at their local beach and help create a Litter Free Coast and Sea.

OCEANS TO EARTH

Oceans to Earth is a UK-based community interest company based in Poole, Dorset and is the brainchild of local environmentalists Jake Sculthorp and Rosie Bailey. The organisation aims to go above and beyond and provide the resources and information to help allow people to get involved and help out.

LITTER FREE PURBECK

Litter-Free Purbeck have several groups who meet regularly as well as joining in with Dorset-wide or national events such as Great British Spring Clean.  We send out newsletters every 2 months or when there are events to publicise, or post on our Facebook page.  We welcome new volunteers, no previous experience needed, and are able to support anyone wanting to start their own group in their community.

LITTER FREE WEST DORSET

LOVE LYME REGIS

Love Lyme’s Beaches started, like a lot of our groups, from a desire to make things better in the group’s local area. The group was formed in 2014 by running quarterly beach cleans, collecting the rubbish left behind by tides and people alike, and keeping a log of what they were finding.
