Emma focuses on Litter Free Dorset’s coastal projects and campaigns, including litter picks, business engagement and coastal community events. Emma joined the team in October 2021 and has really enjoyed getting stuck in with our partners and community groups, especially when it means she gets to spend the day working on the beach! Full-time carer to a feisty Dachshund.

Litter Free Dorset Project Officer

Joanna studied Geography at Uni where she developed a strong interest in waste management – particularly systemic and behaviour change principles. Since graduating, she’s worked in various environmental education roles in Norfolk and Hertfordshire but now she’s returned to her roots in Weymouth and life by the sea! You’ll often find Joanna going for a walk along the coast path with Mabel the pointer, or out on my paddleboard.

Emma aka EmJ studied Marine Biology and Conservation Biology and is passionate about protecting and enhancing our natural environment. She believes the best way to tackle environmental issues is through education and engagement, and she enjoys collaborating with people to achieve their environmental goals. Dog mum of two chocolate labs.
